Co-Founder, Advisor
Scott is a visionary leader who has led innovations at the crossroads of technology, education, training, and employment. His global track record includes co-founding Neumont College of Computer Science, leading JPMorgan Partner’s private equity entrance into the Asia Pacific region, and most recently building a higher education, career-focused cloud computing program for Amazon Web Services (AWS). The AWS Academy program scaled from a handful of students in 2017 to tens of thousands of students in 2020, supported by thousands of university faculty / instructors throughout the world.
Scott brings energy, enthusiasm, global connections, and strategic vision to all business challenges. Having worked at AWS and seen first-hand how many AWS customers and partners struggled with attracting cloud computing talent, Scott co-founded the McKinley Hodge Group (MHG), a cloud-native executive and technical retained search firm. MHG is dedicated to helping fast-growing companies source the top (and often hidden) cloud computing talent in today’s work force, placing a heavy focus on working with client organizations committed to employee diversity, inclusion, cloud skills development, and work-life balance. MHG also leverages its founders broad, global experience in building early career cloud talent for solution architects, professional services consultants, trainers, technical support and cloud software developers.
In addition to MHG, Scott serves on the board of directors of several leading-edge innovators in the talent space: Generation.org, the University of Silicon Valley, AspireAbility, PersonAbilities and as an advisor to FourthRev. When not enjoying his passion for all things talent, Scott can be found in the “low country” of South Carolina with a golf club readily in hand.
